The app is distributed on the Apple App Store by aLIVE-Service GmbH, which acts only as app store distributor — it doesn't process your personal data.
Where any processing described in this policy counts as processing "by us" under the GDPR, we rely on: performance of a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — providing the features of the app and website you use; legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — keeping the app and website secure and working correctly; and, for Apple Health access specifically, your explicit consent given through iOS's own permission prompt (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time as described below.
OriginLeap currently has no backend server — there is nowhere for your habit data to go but your own device. Locally stored data is protected by your device's standard security (passcode, encryption). Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
originleap.com is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Visiting it causes standard technical log data — your IP address, browser type, and the page requested — to be processed by Cloudflare in order to deliver the site and keep it secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). This may involve processing outside the EU/EEA, safeguarded by Cloudflare's data processing terms and standard contractual clauses. We don't load fonts, analytics, or any other resources from third-party servers on this website — everything, including the typeface, is served from our own hosting.
This website remembers a single preference — whether you're using light or dark mode — in your browser's local storage. This is strictly necessary for a feature you explicitly use (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG) and doesn't require consent. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and there are no third-party trackers on this site.
OriginLeap does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated first, with a new effective date.
If you contact us by email, we process your email address and message to respond to you (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR). We keep that correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
Locally stored data persists until you delete it yourself, either through the app's "Erase all data" option or by deleting the app.
OriginLeap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Because your habit and health data never leaves your device, we hold no copy of it to access, export, or delete on your behalf — you control it entirely through the app itself. For anything we do hold (like an email you sent us), you have the right, under the GDPR, to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of that data, to object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, contact [email protected].
If you're in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your own country of residence.
OriginLeap is available worldwide. Because habit and health data stays on your device regardless of where you are, the protections in this policy apply the same way no matter which country you're in.
We may update this policy as OriginLeap adds features — for example, an optional cloud-sync feature in the future. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
